The Coliseum of Fools is an area located at the top of Kingdom's Edge. It features an arena where the knight can participate in three trials where he fights waves of enemies.

You can see a lot of chains holding this shell in place. Samples can be selected in the shell header where the little fool controls the payment. The battles themselves take place in the arena east of the test boards.

Below the arena is a warrior cave with a bench and some non-hostile thugs. Tiso finds himself in the dock if he has been heard on all counts so far. Zote is also found here if he was rescued in Deepnest. West of the Cave of Warriors is the room where the knight's shadow appears if the knight was killed during the trial. At the very east end of the Cave of Warriors is the Hot Spring where the Strong Fool rests.

The east side of the arena can be seen from the Cave of Warriors. The sounds of battle and cheering can be heard from the crowd, Thrown Sturdy Fools weapons and crushing infection can be seen on the other side of the door, though no enemies are visible and the door cannot be opened or broken. A breakable wall just east of this leads to an area outside the back of the Colosseum. The

The mightiest warriors from around the world are drawn to Hallownest to compete in the Coliseum, where only the strongest survive.

Contestants are offered the chance to become more than just another pointless mistake as they strive to win the title of Colosseum Champion.

The Coliseum captures bugs for arena combat and also breeds some creatures such as Sharp Baldur and Armored Squit for battle.

Lord Fool was controlling the arena battles and some bugs were determined to prove their power to them.

At some point, Lord Fall died, but their corpse still sits on the throne in the arena. The Colosseum itself is still functioning even after the contagion has spread. Even though the contestants are infected, the crowd continues to cheer and the warriors in the pit of wars under the Coliseum are not aggressive.

The original way to access the Colosseum of Fools is to climb to the top of the western precipice of Kingdom's Edge. An alcove northwest of this chasm eventually leads to the Coliseum of Fools.

To unlock a trial, the knight must beat the previous trial (except the first trial) and pay a Geo amount that increases with each trial. Once the initial Geo amount is paid to unlock the trial, the knight can try the trial as many times as they like for free. After completing the first trial, a pin with a knight's head attached appears at the top of each trial board.

The geo awarded upon completing the trial is reduced by 10 each time the knight takes damage, down to a minimum amount. Enemies killed in trials do not drop Geo.

The Trial Of The Waters, Greedfall Quest

The first and easiest of the three trials, the waves are slow and the enemies are easy to deal with.

You need 100 to unlock it. The first time you complete it, it awards a Charm Notch, 1000-1024 and the Warrior achievement. Subsequent wins are awarded only 1000-1024.

The second challenge, harder than the first, introduces the mechanics of wall jumping and groundless air combat without healing.

Hollow Knight: Where To Find All The Warrior Dreams

The last of the three trials, the waves are sometimes brutally fast and the resulting enemies are much stronger, combining almost all of the mechanics from the first two trials.

You need 800 to unlock it. When you first complete it, it awards  3000-3020 and the Fool achievement. Subsequent wins also reward 3000-3020.

Far to the east of the Colosseum, beyond the arena gates, there is a breakable shell wall that leads to a large chasm with a lake at the bottom. Along the shore of the lake, among the large cages and chains, a Pale Stalker can be found holding a simple key. She screams and runs into her arena as the Knight approaches her.

The arena is a large locked area divided into an upper and lower level, between which the Lurker constantly switches. Once she is defeated, a door opens on the upper level, allowing the knight to cross the chasm, a shortcut that leads straight back to the Colosseum.

“The Coliseum creaks late in development. We talked about possibly releasing free DLC (this was before we had the idea of content packs), but after discussion we decided it was important to have a place where you could really test your fighting skills. If it was removed, there would be a strange void gap at the top of Kingdom's Edge!"

“The Colosseum holds a secret and there is a chance we will explore it in the future. I'm trying to remember how many extra bosses we put in the Colosseum. Zote was one. Those fat bees were something else... Two of the Colosseum warriors were originally bosses, but we liked them so much we turned them into regular enemies. It's all a bit blurry!” You should be able to survive the trials of a warrior in the Coliseum of Fools with this guide.

Colosseum Of Fools is where you go in Hollow Knight if you want to test your fighting skills. By the time you get here, you should be well versed in how to take down the various enemies that roam Hallownest with the Claw. Which is a good thing, as Coliseum offers a challenge that even seasoned Hollow Knight players may find daunting.

Trial Of The Warrior

There are three trials you can undertake in the Coliseum of Fools. The Trial of the Warrior is the first and this guide will help you through it.

Colosseum Of Fools is located in the northeastern part of Kingdom's Edge. Once inside, go up to the first banner you see when you enter the Colosseum and pay the 100 geo entrance fee to start the warrior's trial. Then go right to enter the arena.

These trials involve waves of enemies that will get more difficult over time, so it can be very helpful to know what you're up against. Here are the enemies you will face.

The first wave is pretty simple. You'll encounter one shielded fool, followed by two more. These guys aren't very strong, so just slash and jump on their heads to bypass their shields. After they die, Sharp Baldurs will spawn. All they do is roll towards you, so you shouldn't have much trouble with them.

This wave features a whole bunch of Sharp Baldurs that spawn along with some platforms that will rise up from the ground. Baldurs will appear on platforms, meaning they can roll down and land on your head. Just be careful and take them out one by one. The ones on the higher platforms often won't move at all until you get close to them, so you can just lure one or two Baldurs at a time to make things easier.

Now you'll have to fight some Sturdy Fools, which are a bit tougher than the Shielded Fools. One will appear first, followed by two. If you hit them with spikes, they can dodge while throwing projectiles in an upward arc. However, they aren't very strong, so you can treat them like normal enemies and cut them down while watching out for their thrown attacks.

Primal asps will appear above and several platforms will rise from the ground. Asps fly around and fire three projectiles at once in a scatter pattern. These enemies are annoying as they take several hits to kill and their projectiles are hard to dodge. Especially since the projectile that fires in the middle will usually be right where you're trying to jump and attack them. Move between the space between their projectiles and try to space them out so you don't have to dodge all their attacks at once. You can use platforms to put some space between you and them.

Pretty much the same as the fourth wave, except more platforms appear and spikes rise from the ground. Those spikes will stay there
